Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Puzzle Run collects, why, and where it goes. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a daily puzzle game — your progress, your streak, and (if you sign in) your Google profile basics. We don't sell your data.

1. What we collect

• Guests: nothing is sent to our servers about you personally. Your progress and streak are stored locally in your browser (see the Cookie policy).
• Signed-in players: your Google account basics (name, email address, avatar) plus your game results, streaks, and — if you subscribe — your Puzzle Run Plus entitlement status. This is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) under your account.
• Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate usage (screens viewed, rough device/region info). This is not used to identify you personally.

2. How we use it

To run the game: save your results, compute your streak, unlock Plus features you've paid for, and understand which parts of Puzzle Run people enjoy so we can improve it. That's it — no advertising profiles, no selling or renting data to third parties.

3. Payments

Puzzle Run Plus payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Your card details go directly to them — we never see or store them. Lemon Squeezy sends us only what we need to activate your subscription (an order reference and your subscription status). Their privacy policy applies to the checkout.

4. Service providers

Puzzle Run runs on a small set of processors:

• Google Firebase — hosting, authentication, database, analytics;
• Lemon Squeezy — subscription billing (merchant of record).

Fonts and icons are served from puzzle-run.com itself, so no font or CDN provider receives your IP address when a page loads.

5. AI crawlers

Our robots.txt allows AI crawlers — including Google-Extended and Applebot-Extended, which control training and grounding rather than search indexing — to read the site. So the pages we publish (the game, the rules, the FAQ, these policies) may be used to train AI models and to ground AI-generated answers. That's a deliberate choice: it's how people find a small game. It covers published page content only — your account, results, streaks and anything behind sign-in are not part of it and are not visible to a crawler.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep your account data for as long as you have an account. If you'd like your account and its data deleted, email us at puzzlerungames@gmail.com and we'll remove it. Guest data lives only in your browser — clearing site data deletes it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us and we'll honour them. We don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

8. Children

Puzzle Run is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
