How to play Crack the Code
Crack the Code is a free daily logic puzzle. The board hides one four-digit code and prints exactly four mastermind-style clues about it. The hidden code is always four distinct digits, and every puzzle has exactly one solution — the answer is something you reason out, never something you have to guess.
There is no losing here. Attempts are unlimited, and a wrong code simply shakes the board and hands it straight back. A timer runs from the moment the board becomes playable until you crack it, so the only thing at stake is your solve time.
- Read the four clues — each is a guess plus an exact count of what that guess got right.
- Dial each of the four digits on its own wheel: swipe or scroll it up and down.
- Press Unlock once all four digits are set.
- A wrong code just shakes the board — try again, attempts are unlimited.
- Eliminate before you place: no digit ever repeats, so a placed digit is gone from every other position.
A new puzzle every day
A new challenge drops at local midnight, and it is the same puzzle for every player that day. Difficulty follows a repeating easy, medium, hard rotation. Today's challenge is always free to play without an account, and earlier days stay in the archive hub.
